Absolutely agree about Malcolm Offord. Such respect should be afforded him for putting himself into the ring when he could have stayed in his cushy position in the House of Lords. Money or not, that is a move that must have tremendous courage and patriotism, and it should be applauded.

Dan Brown has been equally impressive, albeit in a quieter, less extravert way. Both have a monumental task and it all starts this week - good luck to them and all Reform candidates.

It seems to me that other right of centre parties, eg Rupert Lowe’s Party, the name escapes me, must all join forces for the next election. They must think only of the future of our country and not of their various egos. Reform is just as guilty of this. Anyone whose voice is listened to/heard needs to get this message across loud and clear: the country comes first

Yes, totally agree Fiona !

Ian Smith of Rhodesia ironically, though proud of his Scots heritage, the black Douglas of all things, didn't agree with Scottish http://independence.It really was the worst thing that they were given a Parliament. They shouldn’t be allowed to sit in Westminster as well.

Fair play to Mr. Offord.

However, after voting for Reform in the past two elections, I have become convinced that the party is not actually interested in reforming Britain’s execrable governance.

Never once did Nigel Farage condemn the action taken during C-19, never once has he condemned the UN pandemic treaty and never once has he condemned digital ID and currency.

Seems to me that a vote for Reform is a vote for more Cabinet Office-directed over-reach that is intent on crushing individual freedoms.

He has condemned the WHO treaty tbh. And I ask you to trust me, we are thinking of, and working on dealing with that problem.

Of course the plans are unfinished at this point, but will be revealed in time for the GE. Without it we will be utterly hamstrung.

Reform is losing credibility whilst Rupert Lowe is saying - and doing - pretty much everything that people want to hear.

Nigel Farage seems to have lost his way.

Gawain Towler's avatar

Oh he has been very strong on Digital ID, and on CBDCs. I’m surprised you think otherwise.

He was against vaccine mandates.

I’m a bit perplexed, in what way has he lost his way?

Have to dispute this. My friend and I wrote to Reform in 2021-22 asking for the party’s position on the lockdown, jabs, jab passports and pandemic treaty.

Neither of us received a reply. We took that as a manifestation of fence-sitting.

NF should have backed Andrew Bridgen to the hilt.

NF lost his way in when he fell out with Rupert Lowe - would you not agree with this? Lowe is the conviction politician that NF used to be.

If NF thinks that he doesn’t wish to alienate black and brown Britons, he is wrong - many, many hundreds of thousands of non-white Brits are conservative.

Farage was no longer involved at that point tbh. Not re-engaging until 2024.

initially Tice and Bull were in favour, but pretty soon changed their minds. Tice famously chartered a helicopter to record the first anti-lockdown rally because the BBC wouldn’t report it.

I went with him to Hyde Park Corner on Nov 11, against HMG position.

Tice didn’t support Bridget because he was a fool and allowed himself to be cancelled. I was with Bridgen the night before the whip was suspended, he is a friend. He may be brave, but taking him on would have been a tactical and strategic mistake.

As for Lowe, we will agree to differ. Rupert has his qualities, but being a team player is not one of them.

I have worked with him and he has been forgiven a number of times when he betrayed the cause in his own personal interest in 2019 and since.

I do concede that I know nothing about relationships inside the party.

Thank-you for taking time to respond. I will be observing closely for signs that support your points…..

…..NF would do well to condemn the WHO’s pandemic treaty that they are gathering to vote for this week.
